East Brunswick High School Graduate with Highest Honors. Class Valedictorian with a GPA of 4.68. Attending Cornell University this fall with an interest in Computer Science, Economics, Biochemistry, and Math. In the long term, I am interested in law school.
Experience
Previous tutoring experience in SAT prep; 6th grade English, Writing, and Science; Algebra II; Biology; United States History. I also have experience tutoring immigrants and those not as well versed in English. I volunteered as a teacher's assistant at my town's night school for adults, and I helped teach civic education and English reading, writing, and oration. I was also a Teen Buddy as part of a tutoring program, and I taught both English and Math. SAT cumulative score of 2340. SAT Biology score: 770. SAT U.S. History: 760. SAT Math II: 800. I want to be a tutor because I love engaging with people. Throughout high school, I participated in many activities that allowed me to meet with a variety of people, and ever since then, I love interacting with other people. In addition, I have had the privilege of receiving a very rich and diverse education, and I would love to share that knowledge with others. I am very passionate about the pursuit of knowledge, and my passion in certain subjects makes teaching these subjects very fun for me. Being a tutor is something I view as mutually beneficial for both myself and my student. In high school, I took the most accelerated courses. My math background includes Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and AP Calculus BC. I have taken American Literature classes, as well as World Literature, AP English Language, AP English Literature, and Philosophy. History classes I've taken include: World History, American History, A.P. U.S. History, and AP Government and Politics. I have also taken a Financial Studies class and Accounting class. My education is also supplemented by AP Computer Science courses. As I've stated before, I am the Class Valedictorian. At the same time, I was the Editor-in-Chief of my school newspaper, so I have experience leading other students and teaching them. Just recently, I was named as one of the top 10 Academic All-Star Students in Central New Jersey by mycentraljersey.com, and my information was published in various newspapers.

Hobbies
I love reading, but I am equally engaged in outdoors activities, from camping to biking to playing volleyball. I enjoy spending time with my friends, and we like to go out to watch movies, explore various restaurants, or just sit around playing card games and chatting. I also like puzzles, like jigsaw puzzles and sudoku. I am active and lively, and I'm always prepared with a joke and a smile!
