Private tutor in East Brunswick, NJ
The College of New Jersey - Bachelors, Physics
I attended Princeton for my bachelor's in physics. I began tutoring students while I was in high school. I worked with students in middle and high school, as well as the occasional college student. Now, I've been tutoring and teaching students for over 25 years. As a student, I struggled in math-related subjects, including physics. While in school, my teachers worked closely with me to develop my skills and help me to succeed. It gave me a greater appreciation for education and math. My teachers influenced my tutoring style and techniques. I aim to make learning fun, challenging, and manageable. Working one-on-one with students allows me to personalize every part of the lesson, from the explanations I use to the activities the student completes. I let the student learn at their natural learning pace, asking questions as they arise and working through their problems for total mastery. I work with students to develop skills to prepare them for important exams, as well as to make advanced math courses easier to comprehend. A solid foundation allows us to expand to more complex concepts more readily. I enjoy collaborating with students in a respectful, patient, and understanding environment. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy music, traveling, and hiking.
