Experience
I have over 35 years of teaching experience. During this time, I have implemented several new special education programs for my school district, including a behavioral program and a life skills program. I have won several awards, including Teacher of the Year. I specialize in finding the learning style of the student. This allows me to teach the student in the way that benefits him or her the most and ensures maximum success for the student. I work with all ages from preschool through adult. Most of my students stay with me for four or more years and I have been highly recommended. I have experience with all types of special education students, from mildly learning disabled to more severely impaired and autism. I have recently implemented a life skills program for students 16 and older in my school district. I have also studied the new format for the SAT and have been tutoring students for that exam.
